Welcome to Prague – the capital and largest city of the Czech Republic. It is one of the largest cities of Central Europe and has served as the capital of the historic region of Bohemia for centuries. Today, free at leisure for shopping and photo-taking.

This morning, begin our day with a half-day guided tour in Prague which will cover the famous Hradcany Castle, the St Vitus Cathedral (outside visit) and Charles Bridge. Stepping into the Old Town of Prague, you will get to see the 13th Century Gothic Town Hall and the Astronomical Clock situated at the centre of the Old Town Square.

Today, travel to Dresden. Upon arrival, our orientation tour will bring us into a fascinating historical location rich in heritage. Highlights include the splendid Frauenkirche (Church of Our Lady) and the magnificent Zwinger Palace. Famous for its 95m high stone dome, the Frauenkirche was once Germany’s largest Protestant church and the great landmark and emblem of Dresden. The Zwinger is yet another spectacular Baroque palace incorporating an open- air gallery with a beautiful courtyard.

After breakfast, our sightseeing tour of Berlin brings us to the famous Berlin Wall which was erected in the dead of night. For the next 28 years, it had kept the East Germans from fleeing to the West. Its destruction, which was nearly as instantaneous as its creation, was celebrated around the world. Our Berlin’s city tour also takes us to the Reichstag– seat of the German Parliament, one of Berlin’s most historical landmarks, Brandenburg Gate and Charlie Checkpoint.

Depart from Berlin to Wroclaw and travel along the Oder River bypassing the town of Cottbus and Legnicato. During its long history, Wrocław had belonged to Poland, Bohemia, Austria, Prussia and Germany. Here, we shall see the brightly coloured facades of the noble mansions and the flower markets on the Plac Solny. Also, take in the Baroque splendour of the Rynek, and be introduced to Wrocław’s cheeky gnomes.

After breakfast, travel to the town of Oswiecim and visit the Concentration Camp – largest German concentration camp for the Jewish Holocaust. Here, stand witness to the terror that gripped the hearts of many during WWII. Visit Birkenau, the fortified walls, barbed wire, platforms, barracks, gallows, gas chambers and cremation ovens which show the conditions within which the Nazi genocide took place in the former concentration and extermination camp of Auschwitz-Birkenau. According to historical investigations, a great number of Jews amongst 1.5 million people were systematically starved, tortured and murdered in this camp, symbolic of humanity’s cruelty to fellow human beings in the 20th century. Thereafter, transfer to Krakow for our overnight stay.

This morning, begin our half day city tour in Krakow and visit the Castle and the Royal Cathedral located on Wawel Hill. Continue on the Royal Route to the Old Town Square and have a view of the birthplace of Pope John Paul II at The St Mary Basilica before proceeding to the Medieval Cloth Hall – one of the world’s oldest shopping mall. After lunch, continue our journey to Wieliczka Salt Mine to explore this oldest mine in Poland. This evening, proceed to Krakow for our overnight stay.

Continue our journey to the Capital of Hungary – Budapest via Banska Bystrica. Surrounded by the Tatra mountain, Banska Bystrica used to be a mining town before its recognition as one of the beautiful town in Slovakia. A historical city with an easy access to the surrounding mountains, Banska Bystrica is a popular winter and summer tourist destination. Later, continue to Budapest to enjoy the Hungarian Folklore dinner and dance.

Embark on a guided tour that features the famous Heroes Square and St Stephen’s Basilica. Afterwards, proceed to the Buda side of the Hungary’s Capital for a photo stop at the Matthias Church and Fisherman’s Bastion and proceed to Gellert Hill for a panaromic view of the city from top. Here, you will find the Liberation Monument built to commemorate the Red Army’s release of Budapest from Nazi’s occupation.

Today, begin the day with a visit to the Pandorf Designer Outlet which offers a great range of designer labels at discounted prices of up to 70%. (* If closed, will be replaced with other itinerary *) In the afternoon, continue to the capital of Austria – Vienna with a sightseeing tour that brings us to the majestic Schonbrunn Palace – a baroque Summer Palace with an astounding 1,441 rooms. Next, drive along the Vienna Ring and view the Parliament Building, State Opera House and St Stephen’s Cathedral situated in the heart of Old Vienna.

This morning, drive westward on the highway to Salzburg whilst enjoying the view of “The Sound of Music” countryside to arrive at enroute Hallstatt. With pastel-coloured houses that cast shimmering reflections onto the glassy waters of the lake and towering mountains on all sides, Hallstatt’s beauty alone would be enough to guarantee its fame. Later, continue to Salzburg for an orientation tour that will bring us to the Mirabelle Palace and garden as well as Old Town which houses the Residence Square, Mozart Square and the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

After breakfast, proceed to the world renowned Neuschwanstein Castle for a photo-stop and continue to Munich thereafter. Neuschwanstein Castle was the inspiration for Disneyland’s Sleeping Beauty Castle and was originally intended as a personal refuge for the reclusive king – Ludwig II of Bavaria, but that which was open to the public immediately after his death in 1886. Since then, more than 1.3 million people visit the castle annually.
Free at leisure till transfer to the airport for your departure flight back home to Singapore.
