Welcome to Madrid. Madrid, Spain’s central capital, is a city of elegant boulevards and expansive, manicured parks such as the Buen Retiro. It is renowned for its rich repositories of European art, including the Prado Museum’s works by Goya, Velázquez and other Spanish masters. The heart of old Hapsburg Madrid is the porticolined Plaza Mayor, and nearby is the baroque Royal Palace. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel and retire for the day.

Embark on a guided city tour of Madrid. Drive along the elegant Gran Vía, the city’s famous shopping boulevard, and visit Puerta de Alcalá, one of the city’s most recognisable monuments. Continue along the scenic Paseo del Prado to admire the Neptune Fountain and the magnificent Plaza de Cibeles, surrounded by some of Madrid’s finest architecture. Enjoy a photo stop at the majestic Royal Palace of Madrid, the official residence of the Spanish Royal Family, and pass by the historic Las Ventas Bullring, Spain’s most famous bullfighting arena. In the afternoon, you may wish to join an optional excursion to the enchanting medieval city of Toledo, often referred to as the “City of Three Cultures” where Christians, Muslims and Jews once coexisted harmoniously. Perched atop a hill overlooking the Tagus River, Toledo is famed for its maze of cobbled streets and remarkable monuments.

Savour Segovia’s renowned Roast Suckling Pig (Cochinillo) before travelling onward to the university city of Salamanca for your overnight stay.

After breakfast, depart from Salamanca and continue your journey to Portugal. Enjoy a scenic drive across the Spanish-Portuguese border, passing through picturesque countryside and charming rural landscapes. Upon arrival in Porto, proceed with a guided city tour. Discover the historic Ribeira district, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, known for its colorful buildings and vibrant riverside atmosphere. Visit notable landmarks such as the Clérigos Tower and Porto Cathedral. Continue with a visit to a traditional port wine cellar, where you will learn about the production process and enjoy a tasting session of the region’s famous port wine.

After breakfast, we travel by coach to Seville, one of Spain’s most colourful cities and is the Capital of Andalusia. Our afternoon’s sightseeing today brings us to the impressive Seville Cathedral, built in Gothic styles and the largest in Spain. This is also the burial place of Christopher Columbus. Wander at the Maria Luisa park, Plaza de Espana and the old Jewish Quarter of Santa Cruz District.

After breakfast, depart from Seville and travel Córdoba, a city rich in Moorish heritage and cultural history. Upon arrival, enjoy a guided visit to the magnificent Mezquita-Catedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its striking arches and unique blend of Islamic and Christian architecture. Stroll through the charming Jewish Quarter, with its narrow streets, whitewashed houses, and flowerfilled patios. After lunch, we shall continue onwards to Granada with a view of the Alhambra – a palace built by the Moorish Kinds. You will treasure the memory of its architectural beauty. Next, we will continue to visit the Arabic gardens and fountains, Generalife. The Palacio de Generalife was the summer palace and country estate of the Nasrid rulers of the Emirate of Granada in Al-Andalus, now beside the city of Granada in the autonomous community of Andalusia, Spain.

This morning, we shall transfer to Valencia which is Spain’s 3rd largest city via Guadix. Do not blink your eyes as we pass by the area of Guadix where you will be able to see the inhabitants of Guadix living in a cave house. Thereafter, Upon arrival in Valencia, begin your city tour at the lively Town Hall Square (Plaza del Ayuntamiento), the heart of the city. Continue to view the historic Serranos Towers and Quart Towers, the impressive 14th-century gateways that once formed part of Valencia’s medieval walls. Conclude your sightseeing with a visit to the magnificent Valencia Cathedral and the iconic Miguelete (Little Michael) Tower, one of the city’s most recognisable landmarks. This evening, savour an authentic Valencian Seafood Paella, the region’s worldfamous culinary specialty.

Next, view the Statue of Columbus at the Pier, go up to the hillside of Sant Monjuich to see the Olympic Marina. Enjoy some free at leisure shopping time at El Corte Inglese Diagonal.
