Welcome to Cairo! Upon arrival, drive past the historic Tahrir Square before visiting the world-renowned Egyptian Museum, home to countless treasures of ancient Egyptian civilization. Continue to the Citadel of Salah El-Din and the majestic Mohamed Ali Mosque, also known as the Alabaster Mosque. In the evening, enjoy a hearty dinner before retiring for the night.
This morning, journey to Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt, to admire the colossal statue of Pharaoh Ramses II and the impressive Alabaster Sphinx. Next, explore the Step Pyramid of Saqqara, built for Pharaoh Zoser, the world’s oldest large-scale stone structure. Later, transfer to the resort town of Hurghada on the Red Sea, once a humble fishing village and now Egypt’s most popular coastal getaway.
Today, spend the day at leisure. Take the chance to relax and rejuvenate at your resort. Today, you will have the chance to enjoy an exciting quad bike safari ride through the Egyptian desert! Travel from Hurghada as you jump over sand dunes and zip across the sand to a traditional Bedouin village. Meet the locals and enjoy tea and hookah as you compare your cultures at your own expenses.
Travel by coach to Luxor and begin your sightseeing from Karnak Temple Complex. Step into the heart of ancient Thebes at the aweinspiring Karnak Temple Complex, a vast sanctuary of gods and pharaohs spanning more than 100 hectares. Walk the grand Avenue of Ram Headed Sphinxes leading to the towering First Pylon, before entering the breathtaking Hypostyle Hall, where 134 colossal columns soar skyward, each adorned with intricate hieroglyphs. Next, visit the Luxor Temple. Once a center of divine celebration, it showcases colossal statues of Ramses II, the enduring charm of the Abu Haggag Mosque built within its walls, and the continuation of the magnificent Sphinx Avenue, once connecting it directly to Karnak. A visit here is nothing short of stepping into a living chronicle of Egypt’s eternal grandeur. Thereafter, embark on your Nile River cruise, where our 4 nights Nile River excursion begins.
Begin your sightseeing with the mighty Colossi of Memnon, the two massive statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III. Continue to the West Bank to visit the Valley of the Kings and Valley of the Queens, resting places of Egypt’s great pharaohs. Conclude with a visit to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, one of the most remarkable female rulers in history. Later, sail towards Edfu, passing through the Esna Lock.
Arrive to the temple of Horus at Edfu by horse-drawn carriage, evoking the charm of 19th-century travel. Step into the most beautifully preserved temple of the ancient world, dedicated to Horus, the falcon-headed god of kingship and protection. Built during the Ptolemaic era, this grand sanctuary invites you to pass through its towering pylon, wander vast courtyards, and admire exquisite reliefs depicting the epic battle between Horus and Seth. Next, continue to sail to Kom Ombo. Discover one of Egypt’s most unusual temples, Kom Ombo Temple – a rare dual-deity sanctuary, perfectly symmetrical and mirrored. One half is devoted to Sobek, the crocodile god and protector of the Nile, while the other honors Horus the Elder, god of kingship and the sky.
An early excursion takes you to the awe-inspiring Abu Simbel Temples, carved by Ramses II and later relocated in a UNESCO rescue mission to save them from the rising waters of Lake Nasser. Return to Aswan to visit the High Dam and the Unfinished Obelisk, before returning to your cruise.
Disembark your cruise and fly to Cairo. Upon arrival, immerse yourself in the bustling lanes of Khan Al Khalili Bazaar, Cairo’s historic marketplace dating back to the 14th century. Browse through gold, spices, copperware, and souvenirs as you soak in the vibrant atmosphere.
Visit Great Pyramids of Giza, the oldest and only site in existence amongst the 7 Wonders of the Ancient World. Marvel at the largest pyramid, the Great Pyramid of Cheops and the Pyramids of Chephren and Mycerinus, dedicated to Horus, who was the ancient Egyptian God of the world. Just down the escarpment from the pyramids, you will come face to face with You will also see The Great Sphinx, a mythical creature with the body of a lion and the head of a human. Conclude your visit to the pyramids with a fun camel ride.
