Welcome to Zurich (Frankfurt). Upon arrival, start a brief orientation tour of this city passing by Bahnhofstrasse – the exclusive and often described as the most attractive and elegant shopping street in the world. Continue driving north to proceed to Schaffhausen for a visit to the Europe’s longest Waterfall – Rhine Falls. Heading north further and after crossing the Swiss-German border, you are in the lush valleys and pine-clad hills of Titisee – Black Forest Region and watch a demonstration on the assembly of a Cuckoo Clock. Thereafter, enjoy the scenic alpine route to picturebook-Lucerne, one of Switzerland’s finest cities nestling amid its snow-capped Alps, surrounded by its lake and embellished by the clear mountain waters of the River Reuss. Her quaint, narrow streets and small squares entice you with its shops and boutiques.
This morning, we shall have a photo stop at the Lion Monument – a masterful stone sculpture in honour of the heroic Swiss Guards of Louis XVI during the French Revolution. Next, visit the renovated 14th Century covered wooden Chapel Bridge. Our next greatest highlight is to ascend the snow-capped Mt Titlis by cable car for a panoramic view at 10,000 feet from the roof of the Alps. Why not make a snowman or take some breathtaking pictures?
Thereafter, we continue our journey to picture-postcard Interlaken, a Bernese Oberland resort beautifully situated between two sparkling lakes and beneath the towering Jungfrau. (Should Mount Titlis be closed for maintainance or due to adverse weather conditions, we reserve the right to replace with other program).
Today, free at your own leisure. You may want to simply relax and embark on a scenic feast of snow-capped peaks, rushing torrents and sunlit alpine meadows bright with flowers! You may want to join an optional journey to Grindelwald and the “Valleys of Waterfalls” or see the world of glaciers – Jungfraujoch, Top of Europe – traveling through some breathtaking alpine scenery.
Today, travel to Vevey and make a photostop at the famous statue of Charlie Chaplin. Thereafter, we continue to Montreux. we shall make a photo stop at the most beautiful historical medieval fortress in Switzerland – the Chillion Castle (Entrance Fees to the Castle is excluded). Who has not dreamed of visiting a chocolate factory? Today, discover the process of chocolate manufacturing and the odours that come from it in the famous Maison Cailler (Nestlé) chocolate factory. Thereafter, we takes you into the heart of the senses with an exhibition on fragrances and tastes. You will discover the secrets of cheese-making according to ancestral tradition. After that, continue to travel to Chexbres where it is famous for its Vineyard and Wine. Driving along the distinctive stretch of steeply sloping land of the lower mountains and along the shore of Lake Geneva between Lausanne and Montreux, Lauvaux terraced wine vineyards is the largest in Switzerland, so unique it has been named as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Upon arrival, we shall have a wine tasting session in Chexbres. After a wonderful time at Chexbres, we will make our way to Lausanne. In Lausanne, a photostop will be made at the elegant, yet modern and famous Olympic Musuem. Thereafter, travel to Geneva and start an orientation drive in Geneva which passes the United Nations Peace Palace, the colourful Flower Clock, the Jetd’Eau Fountain soaring over 400-feet into the air and the Reformation Monument, a reminder that this is the town of John Calvin.Drive through the rolling pine forest of the Jura Hills, crossing the French border into Beaune, the wine-producing area in Central France.
After breakfast, we shall continue our journey to the inspiration of the fashion world – Paris. Our sightseeing in Paris today will cover the glorious Arc De Triomphe that was erected by Napoleon in 1806 as a memorial to his victorious army which has since 1919 become a National Monument to the unknown soldiers of France. Next, we proceed to one of the largest squares in the world – Place de La Concorde. We then drive down Champs Elysees that was laid in the 17th Century, with 12 avenues radiating like rays of light from a star. The greatest highlight for the day is the famous Eiffel Tower! Take a lift up to the 2nd level for a charming panorama of Paris. Continue to the grand Notre Dame and pass by the Lourve Musuem and its glittering Glass Pyramid. Some free time at leisure till time to settle down for our dinner.
Today, free at your own leisure. You may want to explore the museums or visit the EuroDisney for a day of fun-filled activities. For the shopaholics, you may just want to shop till you drop at Galleries Lafeyette. At night, you may want to consider enjoying a cabaret show. The choice is yours to make.
Free at leisure till transfer to the airport for your departure flight back home to Singapore.
