In Coventry, we get to see the Statue of Lady Godiva which, according to legend, is said to rode naked through the streets of Coventry in order to gain a remission of the oppressive taxation that was imposed by her husband on his tenants. Next, is the famous St Michael’s Cathedral which was bombed almost to destruction in the 2nd World War. Finally, we continue to York where a walking tour in York will bring us to the York Minister, largest medieval gothic cathedral in northern Europe. Next, is the Shambles which is one of the best-preserved medieval shopping streets in Europe before we settle down for our dinner tonight after a long and enriching day.
First, we make a stop in St Andrews to see the ecclesiastical ruins and to take a picture at the 18th hole of the famous golf course. Thereafter, we continue through the Cairngorm Mountains to visit a whiskey distillery before we settle down for our dinner.
